Terms and disclaimer

Last updated October 4, 2026.

By using cheaperdriving.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Estimates only

The calculator and everything else on this site is for general information. Results are estimates based on EPA fuel economy ratings, average prices and the figures you enter. They are not a guarantee, a quote, or financial, tax, legal or purchasing advice. Real-world fuel and energy use depends on how and where you drive, the weather, speed, load, towing, vehicle condition and the prices you pay, all of which change.

What is not included

Only fuel and home-charging costs are compared. Insurance, registration, taxes, maintenance, tires, depreciation, financing, public charging and any federal, state or utility incentives are not included.

Data and the lookup feature

Vehicle ratings come from the U.S. EPA and Department of Energy (fueleconomy.gov) and may be out of date, incomplete or contain errors. Figures found by the “Not listed” lookup come from an automated web search by an AI service and are not official ratings. Check anything important with the manufacturer or a dealer before relying on it.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cheaper Driving and its owners are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the site or from decisions you make using its results. The site is provided “as is” and may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time.

Independence

Cheaper Driving is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the EPA, the U.S. Department of Energy or any vehicle manufacturer. Vehicle names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify vehicles.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the site, including by automated scraping at a rate that affects other visitors, attempting to disrupt it, or abusing the lookup feature. We may limit or block access to protect the site.
